A new science fiction series is taking the genre by a cosmic storm, and its first addition is Rise of the Coalition. Blasting off as the first mission in The Human Space (Name of the series – pun intended), it’s a narrative of an ideal scenario going downhill. In the story, humanity spreads across the cosmos. Many planets and solar systems are now parts of our empire. Yet, we as humans have always been are not fulfilled.
What should have been an achievement for science and human ambition became a curse. Powers rise to take over the universe with their newfound limitless resources. In contrast, those with a sense of righteousness form alliances to stop the siege. As the larger powers battle each other throughout the cosmos, the small nations fear for their safety.
Many characters gather together to carry out missions against their respective enemies. As a result, the readers get an explosive look into espionage, war, adventure, and unimaginable actions within the same narrative.
The Coalition saved both America and Chinos and Slavia is nothing but a memory of it’s former powerful self, the future looks bright. We all can relax and rebuild all that was lost.
But then John appears in Thomas Jane’s office. He brings a warning that a new threat is coming. This time it is not one of our own. This time it is coming from the outside.
This threat is big, it is bad, and it is coming for all of us.
It is up to Thomas Jane and the Coalition to unite the humans and defend our lives.
But can he do it or is it already too late? Will he succeed? Or will he fall short?
As a new father I had all these new thoughts, feelings, ideas. I started thinking, what really a new life means to me? From these thoughts a series of short stories in this book were born.
The stories are united by dystopian, post-apocalyptic themes and center on how we would handle a new life in different kinds of extreme conditions.
In the following stories the protagonist finds a new meaning and understanding of life via the birth of a new life.
How would we change? Or stay the same?
